Opus the rabbit died today. Opus was a Dutch Rabbit, a type that is black and white in color. He lived next to one of the shelves in the National Library and enjoyed throwing toilet paper rolls around when the mood was upon him. He was very relaxed for a rabbit, and never kicked when being picked up. He loved to have his head petted. He was named for the unforgettable Opus the Penguin from the comic strip "Bloom County". Opus lived in Government House for about five years, and was a fixture in our country. Sadly, Opus died of pneumonia on 5 August 2007 XXX. He was a beloved pet and will be deeply missed.
