The Republic of Molossia is to be featured in an article in the Chicago Tribune, during the upcoming July 4th weekend. Ace reporter Colleen Mastony arrived today to interview His Excellency, The President, and spent nearly the entire day doing so. Under a warm June sun, His Excellency held forth on every subject thereunder, mostly regarding Molossia and micronations, of course. In addition to the usual tour given all visitors to Molossia (done twice), The President also participated in audio interviews and video-taped interviews, all of which will end up in the Tribune, both in print and online formats. The visit not only included interviews with His Excellency, but with a member of the First Family, neighbors across the border in the US, and denizens of nearby Virginia City, Nevada. The latter were largely surprised to discover that they had a independent nation just down the road from them, but generally took the news well. The President also took Ms. Mastony on a tour of local Nevada sights, in addition to the tour of Molossian sights.
It was a great pleasure to have Ms. Mastony visit Molossia, and a great honor to be offered the opportunity for Molossia to appear in the Chicago Tribune. We look forward to the article with keen anticipation, and we will post a link to it on this page when it appears.
