The Principality of Vikesland and the Republic of Molossia have long contributed foreign aid to Canada and the United States, respectively, but both nations have now given aid to a true third-world country - Cuba. On 4 February 2009 XXXII, during the recent visit of Prince Christopher and the Vikeslandic Royal Family to Cuba, the Royal Family and 15 Vikeslandic nobles and citizens went on an aid mission to rural Cuba. The trip was within the back country near the town of Matanzas. The convoy delivered items such as aspirin, writing utensils, scribblers, soap, toothpaste and brushes, toys and clothing. It is estimated that between Vikeslandic and Molossian aid, about $1000 worth was distributed that day. The local populace, especially the kids, eagerly took anything that the Vikeslandic aid mission had to give. The people were very friendly and grateful that our nations cared. The trip took about 6 hours to complete and went without incident. While the vast majority of the aid items were provided by Vikesland, the Molossian Government is pleased to have contributed in a small way to this successful joint aid mission. Efforts like this show how even small nations such as Vikesland and Molossia can make a big difference in the world. View the movie of the joint Vikesland / Molossia foreign aid mission to Cuba here.
