The Republic of Molossia has again contributed to Kiva. Kiva is an organization that allows people to lend money via the Internet to microfinance institutions in developing countries around the world and in the United States, which in turn lend the money to small businesses. Headquartered in San Francisco, Kiva is supported by donations from its users and through partnerships with businesses and other institutions. By lending funds to small businesses Kiva helps these businesses grow and prosper, which in turn spreads the goal of prosperity throughout the world. Molossia's first foray in Kiva was a small loan to Mr. Kodzo Kondo, a taxi drover in Togo, made last July. This loan was recently repaid in full. Our current loan goes out to Azanmassou Sossou who operates a printing company, also in Togo. About nine years ago, Mr. Sossou opened the printing shop which he still operates. As the new school year approaches, he would like to be able to do everything possible in order to run his shop and provide materials for local schoolchildren. He is seeking his tenth loan in order to purchase the supplies necessary to meet to his client’s needs at the beginning of the new school year. We are quite pleased to be able to help Mr. Sossou achieve his goal. When Molossia's loan is someday repaid, the money will again be rolled back into Kiva to help another budding business person, and so on. Thus, though Molossia is itself a developing nation, we help others develop as well, the right thing to do in the world community. We are quite proud of this latest step for Molossia and look forward to future efforts to make our world a better place. Join the Intermicronational Team Kiva and help micronations help the world!
