Born Teresa Cimmarusti, in 1920 in Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Baugh was the daughter of Michele and Ida Cimmarusti, both immigrants from Italy who passed through Ellis Island on the long journey from the Old Country to the Golden State. In 1939 she married Ed Baugh. Around 1950, Mr. and Mrs. Baugh moved from the Los Angeles area to the then-remote town of Arcadia, California, purchasing a modest home there and raising their family. During their long marriage, they had four children, Tom, Bob, Jim and Linda. Tom Baugh is, of course, the father of the President of Molossia. Besides raising a family, Mrs. Baugh worked as a cafeteria cook at Dana Junior High School in Arcadia for much of her life. During summers off from school, she played host to young Kevin Baugh, future President of Molossia, on frequent visits and tirelessly ferried him from one Southern California amusement park to the next over a period of several years. After retirement, Mrs. Baugh battled illnesses and Alzheimer's before finally succumbing this month. The loss of this Baugh family matriarch is a profound sadness, and we all deeply mourn her passing.
