On Saturday, 26 May 2012 XXXV, The Republic of Molossia turned 35 years old, a major milestone for our great nation. This auspicious Founder's Day was celebrated the following day, on Sunday, 27 May 2012 XXXV due to inclement weather on Saturday. Thus on a sunny Molossian afternoon, friends, family and proud Molossians gathered to mark our nation's anniversary. The event was celebrated with a party in Norton Park, which included hamburgers, hot dogs and cookie dough ice cream. Tours of the country were given by His Excellency, The President and The First Lady, highlighting some of the sights of our tiny nation. Molossia hosted about 15 guests for this celebration along with our proud citizens, making the party a successful one. Several of our visitors had never before been to Molossia, so the visit was a new experience for them. His Excellency, The President gave his annual Founder's Day Speech, after which the First Lady gave him the gift of an engraved brick at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, in nearby Carson City, Nevada - something Our President has been wanting for years. This concluded the official celebration of Molossia's Founder's Day and a fine time was had by all!
