Today was the second visit of His Excellency, The President to our distant colony of Farfalla. The purpose of this visit was to ascertain the condition of the colony during the winter months. His Excellency found the colony to be in fine condition, covered with a few inches of snow in patches. Where the ground was absent of snow, it was otherwise quite wet. The seasonal Achumawi Steam was in good form, flowing heavily toward the lake. The Lion Spring was also flowing well, not unlike its condition during summer.
